Curriculum Vitae

Joe Ornstein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the SPIA. He earned his PhD from the University of Michigan in 2018, and has previously held positions at the Brookings Institution and Washington University in St. Louis. His research and teaching focuses on statistical methodology, computational social science, and urban politics. He has published articles in the American Political Science Review, Political Analysis, Political Science Research and Methods, the American Journal of Public Health, Public Choice, and the Journal of Theoretical Politics, among other outlets.
